Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster
I read this a long time ago and remember it as being very interesting, but I cannot really write a worthy review of it except to say that the tragedy of that climb had long-lasting effects on many of the survivors. I am not sure what propels people into a world filled with excitement, regardless of the danger, but they are braver than I am. I did not find it as interesting as another of Krakauer's books, "Into The Wild", however, but it was as well written.
