This is an interesting, imaginative Read-Aloud Movie. It reads like a play. The tale is a fantasy about Christmas. A group of evil people are trying to prevent Santa and his elves from producing toys so that they can have the only toy sold for the holiday and make lots of money.
In order to do this, a scheme is cooked up to trick Kris Kringle, Santa’s nephew, to go to the South Pole and activate the curse which will make all the elves disappear and stop Santa from bringing gifts on Xmas eve. Santa has forbidden any Kringles from making toys because his brother wanted to make Xmas all about profit rather than kindness and the true meaning of the holiday. He has been angered by his brother’s behavior and he has placed a curse on the elves’ workroom. If a Kringle enters, the elves will disappear and become snowflakes.
It is a creative fantasy which pre-teens and young teens will enjoy. The reading will be enhanced if a group/family reads it aloud with each one taking a different part. There is a bit of romance, intrigue and trickery in this creative little story.
